How do I fight against riba/interest?

As Muslims in the 21st century, we face hard decisions that could lead us to make sins. And sometimes from how much those sinful acts are around us, we forget that they are haram and start committing them ourselves. With a thought in the back of our minds that they are ok when it has been clearly stated by our prophet peace be upon him that they are not. One of the most common of those sins is Riba. Most individuals try to ignore it because it’s found everywhere but that does not change that fact that shariah prohibited it. It is forbidden under Sharia Law because it is thought to be exploitative. The Prophet peace be upon him said, “There will certainly come a time for mankind when everyone will take riba and if he does not do so, its dust will reach him.” (Abu Dawud, Kitab al-Buyu’, Bab fi ijtinabi al-shubuhat; also in Ibn Majah). Riba was haram during the prophet’s time, is still haram now and it will remain haram till the end of time. It is one of our tests given by Allah to avoid any transactions that involve riba. Always remembering that would help anyone avoid riba.
In today’s Ummah Islamic finance has been growing dramatically and is also being adopted by non-Muslims. In other words, there are a lot of investment options around the world that follow sharia laws. It just requires a little effort to search for them. One of the platforms that follow sharia laws is Ethis Crowd. A link to the site is provided below:-
